iPhone Browser - Safari

Mastering Tabs in Apple Safari on iPhone

If you are using the Safari web browser on iphone 11 or greater, and you feel like you are stuck on our our Club's contact email form, you will see a TAB Icon at the BOTTOM of your screen that looks like two squares stacked on top of each other.

Tap this icon to see ALL of your open Tabs for this browser.

Note: Don't be alarmed if your Tab Icon shows many many windows (i.e. 500) that are still open. This is expected if you have never cleared all the open Tabs from your browser.

Once you have Tapped on the Tab Icon as shown above, you will see all of the Tabs that you currently have open in the Safari Browser. In this scenario there are 2 open Tabs: one that shows the Contact email form (on the right) and the other that shows the Duxbury Camera Club Website (on the left).

You can close out the email form (on the right), if you are done with it, by tapping on the "X" in the top bar of the Tab thumbnail.

You can then return to the Duxbury Camera Club just by tapping on the center of the Tab thumbnail.

If, at anytime, you wish to CLEAR ALL of your TABS, perform the following:

  1. Tap the Tab Icon on your phone.

  2. Press and Hold down the word DONE at the Bottom of the TABs screen until a menu appears.

  3. Tap on the "Close Tabs" option in red. This will clear your browser of all open window Tabs.

Note: Once your Tabs have been cleared, you might also be asked to set up a default to automatically delete your tabs on a regular basis (daily, weekly, monthly, or annually).
